Once again it is time for the Toys for Kids Motorcycle Parade! For the 36th year, Toys for Kids Motorcycle Parade is asking motorcyclists join the parade to bring joy to kids throughout Southern New Mexico!
The 36th Annual Toys for Kids Motorcycle Parade will take place November 20, 2016.
Motorcyclists will gather and register at the southwest corner of Mesilla Valley Mall from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 and the police escorted parade will leave the mall at noon sharp. Motorcyclists must be street legal, registered and insured.
The Las Cruces Police Department escorted parade leaves the mall at 12:00 noon traveling south on Don Roser, turning west on Missouri to Solano, then south to University, finally turning west on University ending at the Las Cruces Convention Center.
The fun will continue at the Las Cruces Convention Center with live music from Blaze the Nation, a meal, beverages, grand prize drawing from Las Cruces Motorsports, 50/50 raffle, raffle for leather jackets donated by Barnett's Harley Davison, door prizes, many vendors and more. This year the bike show will feature a trophy and cash prize for each class!
If you don't ride a motorcycle, please join us at the Convention Center! We are asking non-motorcycle riders to park at NMSU, Pioneer Bank or on the northwest corner of El Paseo and University for the safety of the bikers so they can park at the Convention Center.
A donation of $10 plus a new toy valued at $7 or more per person gets you a meal and two beverages, plus the chance to win the grand prize of a $500 gift card to Las Cruces Motorsports or one of many door prizes. If you don't bring a toy, you will be asked to contribute toward the purchase of a toy.
Beneficiaries from this event include non-profit, social service and educational agencies that support children who have developmental delays, who are underserved, or are in difficult circumstances. Thousands of children and dozens of agencies have benefitted over the years from toy donations in addition to monetary support provided for food and clothing, as well as the toys, during the holiday season. Toys that encourage development are encouraged. Please refer to our What and Where page for ideas.
Local businesses are encouraged to set up toy drops at their locations to donate to the event. Please see Contact page for information.
